Why have I lived in Grand Junction longer than any place else on Earth?

  1. This area of western Colorado is considered relatively unpopulated high desert/red rock canyon country and has a peaceful kind of beauty for the soul.

  1. There are four, 3 month long seasons, each offering the epitome of variety and mild temperate climate, without the extremes of so many other places.

  1. We have no hurricanes, tornados or earthquakes, not boring at all!

  1. Real estate prices are almost downright cheap compared to the surrounding ski resort towns or east and west coast cities.

  1. The Grand Valley in Mesa County has by the end of 2006 very limited traffic, no congestion or pollution, and a manageable growth rate of 3-4%. Real estate prices are steadily climbing at 6-10% per year (for the last 12 years) without taking giant knuckle-biting jumps up or down.

  1. This area is a veritable "Shangri-La" nestled along the Colorado River. Irrigation water from two rivers ?greens up´ the valley between the surrounding red and brown cliffs and mesas. Orchards are bearing ripe, mouth watering peaches, cherries, pears, apples and ahhhh, grapes. Over a half dozen wineries now produce excellent premium varietal wines. World class too, at still under $20 bottle.

  1. Over 300+ days of sunshine doesn´t ever leave me SAD.

  1. The Colorado National Monument offers "Sedona-esque" views, hiking and solitude "right out the back door".

  1. There are several national forests, innumerable acres of BLM administered lands, and 3 or 4 national parks all within an hour or two of driving. Recreation is the key word here and is the source of most of my entertainment.

  1.  Since I ski November to April, I can drive 2.5 to 3 hours to world famous Telluride, Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen/Snowmass, Crested Butte, Steamboat, Breckinridge or Copper Mtn., to name a few!

  1.  Personally I whitewater raft, fish, hike, camp, bird watch, and explore ancient Indian sites and history for my fun. Many friends mountain bike on fabulous trails, others love golfing-especially the excellent Redlands Mesa Golf Course. Terrific hunting in Colorado goes without saying3;really wish I was retired here just to enjoy it more!

  1. The area has an abundance of live music: from our own symphony to a variety of styles frequenting the valley as musicians pass between Denver and Las Vegas on I-70. We have a public radio station and our own great progressive community volunteer station KAFM. Plus, now there must be at least 5 theatre companies besides the Mesa State College´s wealth of entertainment.

  1. 3;And my lucky number 13 reason for loving living here? I appreciate getting away to the ?big´ cities of Denver and SLC, only a 1 hr. flight away or a 4 hr. drive. They are close enough to enjoy their sports, entertainment and shopping but far enough to not miss their congestion and attitude. So after a great weekend away I am very glad to have Grand Junction to return to and call it HOME!

Now are you wondering how you can come here and check it out? Start by giving me a call or emailing me and who knows where it will lead? Even though 2006 was my most exciting and busiest year ever in the business I still have the time to share with new folks and possibly you too will enjoy my enthusiasm for this beautiful part of the world! After all, I enjoy "Doing business at YOUR convenience!".

Please tell me how I can assist you!
